Post Cure

We post cure the Yacht to ensure the peak performance for our resin. Post-curing enhances physical strength and thermal properties beyond what’s achievable with room-temperature cures alone. Our post cure was a slow increase in heat over 24 hour to 104F/40C. Then we ramped up to 10 140F/60C for 10 hours. By performing this we ensure the boat will never see blead through even with dark color paint.

Getting a composite panel to flex is not easy. To protect the core we made blocks to prevent crushing the core.
